The Body Shop 'Brush With Fashion' Collection

When I saw this new collection I loved the packaging straight away and wanted to know more about it so when I had the chance to sample the products I jumped at the chance.

♥£15.00♥
Think fresh Spring for this New limited edition collection, cruelty free Brush with Fashion make-up and accessories collection from The Body Shop. Created in collaboration with the internationally-acclaimed London College of Fashion this ultra stylish make-up combines ethically-sourced ingredients.
Nikki Palmer an esteemed graduate of London College of Fashion created four directional yet wearable looks, here is one of the looks.

A La Mode is my favourite palette the shades are beautiful and vibrant, these palettes are a great size and contain a handy mirror which I LOVE in palettes! So handy!! 4 eyeshadows an eye blending brush and eyeliner.

There are 3 pearlescent shades and one matte black shade with an eye definer in Black the shadows are very soft and easy to apply and very pigmented in this palette.

Boho Beauty is another beautiful palette featuring warm browns and apricots all matte and with an eye definer in Rich Brown.

These shades are soft and warm and very nice but with them being matte they are not as pigmented as the previous palette. This palette is great for anyone who likes their make-up natural. The eye definers within both palettes are creamy and soft and last all day.

Tailored Cheek Tint is a clear gel which magically transform onto the skin giving a flush of pink on the cheeks. What's different is the synthetic brush applicator which is a little strange as I still squezze the gel out on my hand and then apply using my finger tips. I actually like the gel come powdery texture on the skin and is super easy to blend. This is a favourite of mine out fo the collectiona nd is well worth a look. You can build up the colour depending on how deep you like your blush.

♥£10♥

Illuminating Face Base adds a natural warm glow to the face, can be used alone or under your foundation. This is not to be mistaken as a foundation I have been using this under my foundation for an extra glow but to be honest was slighty disappointed as it didn't seem to look any different. I was airing on the side of caution with it so maybe I need to use more product to see more of an effect. Has anyone else tried this would love to know your thoughts?

♥£14♥

I think I would've opted for this in pump form as it look me ages to twist for the product to finally appear! The brush applicator feels very soft and is a fair size so this may appeal to some people. Within the collection I like how they have thought about the products and how you would apply them to the face. They have taken it all into consideration.

Hi Shine Lip treatment Pink Cream & Juicy Peach are not limited edition colours and are available from the permanent Hi Shine gloss collection. The packaging they are in is limited edition so if these are your normal colours you enjoy wearing then why not pick them up in LE packaging for the same price of £9.50. They also have an integrated lip brush which the normal Hi Shine gloss tubes don't have. The brush tips are so handy and give better control when trying to be neat and applying the gloss.

These glosses smell amazing a real fruity scent which is lovely for the spring, they also feel nice on the lips not tacky. I like them both but maybe like Pink Cream that little bit more, they are very sheer in colour as you can tell from the swatches and it's hard to get them to look different in the light but they are different ever so slightly when you see them in person.

L- Juicy Peach R- Pink Cream

You can also pick up a mini brush kit from the collection amongst make-up bags and bag for life which I was very kindly sent also and have been using this ever since to carry around my day to day items for both my little ones. I love the bag and would naturally be drawn to it if I saw this in the shop. The gorgeous pink sides and straps and the facial image printed with the 'Brush With Fashion' logo. If you don't pick any make-up up from this collection then maybe check out the bag.

♥£2.50♥

I just wanted to show you a photo with the products I used the illuminating face base under my foundation, then used the cheek tint. For the eyes I used Boho Beauty palette on my eyes but used the white pearlescent shadow from the A La Mode palette for under the brow and inner eyes for a highlight. I then used Juicy Peach over one of lipsticks to give it an 'Umph' .

Will you be checking anything out from this collection? If your thinking about it I suggest you try out A La Mode for sure and the cheek tint which will be lovely for the spring for a natural flush of colour without feeling like you have make up on. Great for beach babes!

Hair styling? How do you decide yours?

I'm not very creative with my hair and wish I was, I'm just not great at styling or trying new styles.
My current style which I'm trying to pull off is the messy wavy style, I don't like to use too many products on my hair else I feel like I have to wash my hair every day which I don't do.
How do you wear your hair? Up or down? Do you decide on the day or do you have the same style but change it for a special occassion?
Do you decide on your style of hair once your makeup is done? I tend to do my makeup first and then decide whether my hair is going up or down.

♥♥♥

I wanted to share a few snap shots of my hair up and down, and also wanted to give a certain hair product a shout out as I think it deserves a post dedicated to it!

Down

Up do

The product which I want to give a *special* mention is by the company called Bumble and bumble. Surf Spray has become a very much favored styling product which I've been using ever since I got it. The bottle is kinda different and actually made out of scubba suit material which is relevant to the theory behind the product. Surf Spray gives sexy windsept, sun-dried hair wherever and whenever. Think beach and how your hair gets and then you're on the right page! This product can be used on wet or dry hair, I tend to use mine on dry hair and spray at the roots and then scrunch the product into the root to create a natural lift and some texture. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I used this in the photos above, I liked how when I popped my hair up it still kept some volume and looked like I had styled my hair which is what I've been trying to create for some time now. The product doesn't weigh the hair down and you don't feel like you need to wash your hair.

So there you my lovelies what do you think? Have you tried Bumble and bumble before? What are your go-to styling products? Would love to know your thoughts!

Models Own Neon

Are you brave or do you always play it safe with your daily makeup? I love natural shades on the face and these are normally my go-to shades. Eyes have been bold and dressed up on the catwalks for this spring/summer.

I have been lucky enough to try out some Neon makeup products and love them! A pop of colour of the face is so refreshing rather than browns and neutral tones.

This is the first time trying Models Own makeup and must admit I had my own pre conceptions about the look of the packaging but I actually take it all back. I love the transparent lipstick barrel. I am amazed at the price of these products all items mentioned only cost £5 each which I think personally is very easy on the purse. I dare YOU all to pick a colour you wouldn't normally go for and see what you think.

I was very impressed with the consistency of the lipgloss, I'm rather fussy with my lipglosses and can't stand 'Tacky' glosses which feel like glue on your lips! This gloss feels so light on the lips but gives a pretty glossy sheen. I would normally be put off my such vibrant shades but don't be fooled by the colours they are not as intense once on the lips. The lipstick is a creamy texture and also a creamy finish on the lips which is a nice change to any shimmer.

Powder Eyeshadow Delph Blue
Bright Turquoise
Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil Blue Azure
Eyeliner Neon Pencil

The pencils feel very soft and easy to apply on the eye, non dragging and very pigmented. They last for a while which is great if you want to use these for a night out. My only bug bear is about the powder eyeshadows, the don't have any safety cap which for a butter fingers like can be messy! Apart from that the shadows are very pigmented and a pleasure to use.

Here is a photo showing the swatches of all the products together, the blues and the coral tones work so well together I think personally.

When I saw this collection it reminded me of one of my favourite tops which I got last year...

There is also a collection of 6 Neon polishes, which I'm sure will be a big hit for summer this year! Even if they are a little bright for your fingers these would be lovely for your tootsies! The shades look so nice I couldn't pick a favourite as I like them all! Has anyone tried them?

Models Own is available online and from Boots, Asos and River Island.

Super Smoocher

Mmwwaahhh ♥ hello my lovelies!

My latest loves are lip balms! Super Smoocher is an amazing online store where you can find a HUGE selection of 100% natural lip products ♥ For me it compares to the excitement you get when you're in a sweetie shop, tons to pick from, you want them all but you can only have a couple or maybe more!

I have been very lucky to try out 3 fab lip balms, Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Peony, Figs & Rouge Lip Balm and Crazy Rumours in Gumball scent!

The lip balms came wrapped so sweetly literally they looked like sweets and when I unwrapped them tiny little hearts fell out! Such a nice touch ♥

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer

This is the first Burt Bees lip balm I have tried and can now see what all the fuss is about. Burt's Bees contain natural Beeswax and fully nourish and soothe the lips with magical ingredients such as Vitamin E, Coconut and Sunflower oils.

♥ £4.95 ♥

I have the shade Peony which is a very wearable shade for everyone I would imagine, just a hint of colour and a lovely 100% natural lip shimmer. I have been using this instead of my normal lipstick some days and carry this around with me everywhere.

One annoying thing though, once you twist for more product you can't seem to twist back down. I found that I had to push the product back into the case gently. Has anyone else found this? But now I have learnt that I just twist a little bit if need be and this has not in no way put me off! In fact I want to try a couple more of these and also their glosses look scrummy to!

Figs & Rouge Sweet Geranium Lip Balm

This wins first prize for packagaing, I'm an admirer of anything old fashioned and this is beautiful! It reminds me of an old Art Nouveau french chic design and looks alluring, the scent is just as elegant. This is 100% Organic lip balm which has been certified by the Organic Soil Association. You can also use the balm on your face and balm for an extra intensive treat. You hardly need an balm on your fingertips and sinks into the skin so softly and easy.

♥ £3.45 ♥

Crazy Rumours Bubble Gum Lip Balm

OMG these balms are so cool, I love the selection of all 28 gourmet flavours. From coffee bean lip balm to raspberry sherbet ice cream flavour. I'm sure there is a flavour for everyone which will get your taste buds excited. I love anything which has a bubble gum scent or flavouring so it was easy for me to decide. Crazy Rumours are fresh from the states and are vegan-friendly, 100% natural and contain organic ingredients.

♥ £3.45 ♥

As a special treat the lovely people at Super Smoocher have given me a special code for all my lovely cherubs! Super Smoocher deliver worldwide and don't forget if you're in the UK then it's free P&P
Pop over and take a look and treat yourself to one balm or maybe 2 or just a few, just remember to pop in'Mon sherrie' at the till for your discount to come off your end total.
Let me know what you decide to pick, I'm thinking Crazy Rumours could be popular!

Friday Facial & Relax Time

Yay for FRIDAY everyone! Well as some of you may already know it has been half term this week so I have had such a hetic week! So Friday Facial has been my one treat this week which I have longed for! Aswell as treating your face this week then why not do the whole shabang and have your very own pamper session! This is what you could use...

I think ♥Maisy♥ is after some pampering! Purrr

Face Masque
Bath Salts
Body Exfoliator
♥ A scrummy body Wash ♥
Yummy Body Moisturiser
Hot Chocolate & piles of mini Marshmallows

This is the masque I used and YES it is a peel off one, I was brave and decided to give it another chance and was surprised with the results.

This time I applied the masque thickly on my face which made such a difference and didn't feel uncomfortable when I peeled it off. The scent was not nice though, nothing like cucumber more like polish remover! Has anyone else tried this one?

How will you be relaxing tonight?

Scandalous

I'm sure you have seen these very eye alluring hair products at your local Superdrug. Scandalous is a Haircare Collection available exclusively to Superdrug and consists of 12 products of which 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, 1 intensive treatment with the rest of the 7 products being for styling. Rock Chick, Big & Beautiful or Sleek & Seductive are the styles within the collection, which one would you by?
Shiny and Sweet smelling hair is something we are all lusting after surely?
I know I've been striving for better styled hair lately, whilst my hair is not majorly thick I do have alot of it if that makes sense. I rarely use a hair dryer and just let my hair dry naturally normally but the problem I face is the unruly style which it seems to take on once dry.

£5.99 (50ml)

Luckily I have been using a serum which has helped with this problem aswell as leaving my hair smelling lovely!
When I read the word serum I always imagine a creamy formula, where as in this instance this is not the case. This particular serum is actually a spray and is very light and not heavy on the hair. If you party alot then this is a must for you try as it contains citronella to neutralize lingering odours and stopping your hair from picking up strong smells like smoke and food thus keeping it fresh and smelling good! I remember the days when I would go out of an evening and then come home and my hair use to stink which is horrible isn't it? I'm sure we have all been there.

The next haircare product I have been trying from the collection is another styling one.

£5.49

This smells great and is not to be confused with a hairspray, this product initally adds shine and gives a glossy healthy look to the hair. Then finally it will leave a fine layer of sensual spicy perfume. I love the fact you can treat your hair to little perfume and it's perfectly fine on the hair. I must admit to spraying my hair lightly with my perfume of the day and often think it's a waste but now I can use this and know it's actually designed for the hair!

Have you tried anything from the collection? I think the packaging is totally different and not at all shy. This without a doubt stands out on the shelves and gets noticed.
