Skincare update* Back2Basics!

You may have read my tweets the other day complaining about the current state my skin is in! I've been using a few different products on my skin lately and don't really have a strict routine. That's the problem with being a 'Beauty Blogger' not bloggers are the same of course and I may well be the only one but I'm always striving for perfection and if a product has high claims I'm won over. Well my skin is not a fan of this, I do think that it's also my hormones to blame slightly because I've been experiencing blemishes just under my ears along my jawline! What's that all about?
Anyway enough of my blabbering on, I've decided to go Back2Basics, so what other better skincare than Liz Earle. I've used Liz Earle on and off for many years now and it's the one skincare brand you can always rely on. I've been using their 3 step system with Cetaphil Cleanser & Lotion. As for eye creams I'm still using my trusty Origins Ginzing day time and then my L'Occitane Precious eye balm for night time. Then for the blemishes I've been dabbing a small amount of the Origins Spot Remover over the top of them.

Cetaphil Cleanser & Clarisonic Mia
Liz Earle Skin Tonic
Cetaphil Lotion
Origins Ginzing Eye Cream
Optional Origins Spot Remover.

Liz Earle C&P
Liz Earle Skin Tonic
Liz Earle Skin Repair
L'Occitane Precious Eye Balm
Optional Origins Spot Remover

I reached for my Clarisonic this week and I'm so glad I have this, I bought this with my Xmas money last year from BuyaPowa and got it for £90 which is an amazing discount off £120! I really recommend you sign up to their newsletters so you keep up to date with their latest co-buys. They have heaps of brands and different offers on. Plus they're really friendly and helpful.

What skincare are you reaching for lately?

Liz Earle- New Makeup Collection

I'm so excited to blog about the new Liz Earle Makeup Collection, after Skin Tint was launched last year and the thought of more products launching on the horizon I had high hopes and expectations. I can safely say YES Liz Earle got it right. I've been reaching for both of these products and have been very impressed with the staying power of the cream blush. Besides Illamasqua cream blushes I think the Liz Earle cream blush has better staying power than the Topshop cream blushes.

Without further a do I think images speak louder than words in this blog post...

 Healthy Glow Cream Blush £16.50/2g

I'm a fan of cream blushes so when I had the chance to try the new cream blush I jumped at the chance, who wouldn't? The texture is lovely and perfect, I have the shade Nectar which is a beautiful vibrant rose-pink. This gives your cheeks and complexion an instant flush of colour, even if you're not feeling your best this will hide that, believe me! I love this shade on the lips also, I haven't tried it yet on the brow bone as suggested in the leaflet. The only thing which I was a little disappointed at was the size of the product and the cost. You're only getting 2g of product, whether or not that's because it's so long lasting rather than other cream blushes I don't know.

I took a few different photos to try and get the best possible shot showing you this shade and indoors by the window was my best option. There's another six shades to pick from, I love the look of all the other shades except for Raspberry which I know will not be suitable for my skin tone but would look stunning on darker skins.

Light Reflecting Concealer- Fair £15.50/1.5ml

I'm a huge concealer junkie so knew this would be put to good use, I have the lightest shade- fair and to be honest it's fine. I was a little worried it might have been too light for me but it copes quite well with my dark circles. I read the leaflet and followed the guidelines, I've even been using this on my brow bone and my cupids bow. This is such a versatile product, I know it's nothing revolutionary and you're all probably thinking yeah another retracting concealer wand *yawn* but in all honesty it's good and it works, give it a chance.

There's going to be more products launching later this Autumn to finish off the complete makeup collection.
I love the swatch card, this will come in so handy! Plus I like the names of the products, I much prefer a name on a product rather than a number.

You can view the new colour collection online www.uk.lizearle.com  they've really put a lot of thought and hard work behind the makeup collection and launch for the products, you can see each product in action used by Make-Up artist Jane Bradley online. I think this is a great tool which you can keep referring back to for tips pointers.

If you're a fan of the famous Cleanse & Polish you wont want to miss out on a great offer starting next Wednesday 23rd May. Liz Earle are going to be selling their award winning beauty icon-Cleanse & Polish (100ml) at the original launch price of £9.50 instead of £14.25, saving your purse £4.75. This offer is only on till Friday 25th May so be quick and stock up! Plus you get 2 free muslin cloths.

So what do you think of the new Liz Earle Colour Collection?

Lush - Skincare

You may have seen on twitter that I'm cutting my skincare down and using products which are natural and fragrance free. I wrote a blog post about my new updated skincare routine, day & night and then remembered i forgot to add these two new products in there! I've been using Ultrabland on and off and then using Full Of Grace as a night time treatment.

Lush Cleanser- Ultrabland

Ultrabland is a thick creamy consistency which melts into the skin, Lush describe it as a rich, soft oily cleansing cream that cares for all skin types. I would agree with that.
The smell is nothing off putting nor anything amazing but it does the job and leaves skin feeling soft and supple. I've been experiencing break outs and my skin has gone a little AWOL to say the least. So I've been using this alongside some other trusted cleansers which I love, I will be posting my updated skincare routine soon so pop back this week to see it.

Ultrabland* 45g

I've been using Ultrabland exactly how I would use my Liz Earle C&P, this is so gentle you can use it all over the face including the eye area. I love using a cleanser which removes eye makeup as well as face makeup in one go.

Lush Serum Bar- Full Of Grace.

This smells lush! I think the mix of essential oils gives it that aromatherpay feel. When you open up the paper bag the smell just hits you 'BAM'. A small amount goes a long way, as you can imagine this is a solid bar so once you rub this for a little while between your palms the bar begins to melt and therefore leaving you with an oily residue on your hands which is the serum. So don't get too carried away and let the bar melt for too long else your face will resemble an oil slick. All I'm going to say is trust me on this one *wink*. I took a photo to show you how long this has lasted, I've been using this mainly in the evenings for the past couple weeks and there's still tons left.

Full Of Grace* 20g

Full Of Grace is a generous size, I wanted to show you just how big the bar is. Obviously the more you use it it's going to get smaller. However you are getting a nice amount of product for £7.95

Have you tried any of the Lush Skincare?
